A total number of 251 people were interviewed in focus group discussions, each comprising 4–6 interviewees were conducted. This study was conducted at two different restaurants of Raymond Mhlaba Municipality (Alice), Eastern Cape, South Africa, to determine consumers’ social representations of meat safety. This paper investigates occupant satisfaction in a small and innovative sustainable building in the UK after a period of occupancy. POE provides invaluable insights into the environmental performance and user’s behaviour which can be used for both fine tuning the building’s operation and to better inform the decision-making process at the design stage. Post-occupancy evaluation (POE) of buildings is becoming increasingly important for evaluation and improving the performance of buildings.
